Our History

Fairford Preservation Trust was set up by Dr Charlton Shaw in 1965. A need was seen to preserve the old buildings and promote the sympathetic design of new ones and also to preserve the structure and life of the town. FPT sought to stimulate public interest in the care for the beauty, history and the character of the area and its surroundings. At the 2015 50th AGM of the Fairford Preservation Trust it was agreed that the Trust would merge with Fairford Planning Watch and the Fairford Environmental Society to form Fairford Community Voice (FCV) and at the 2016 AGM Fairford Community Voice was formed.
